본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 장치는, 부가데이터를 포함하는 디지털 방송(DTV) 신호를 중계하기 위한 중계 장치, 수신 안테나를 통해 상기 부가데이터 및 DTV 신호를 수신하여 중간주파(IF) 신호로 하향 변환한 후 IF 신호를 복조하는 수신 처리부와, 상기 수신 처리부의 신호에서 잡음 및 다중경로 신호를 제거하여 출력하는 등화부와, 상기 등화부의 출력 신호에서 상기 부가데이터를 추출하여 출력하는 부가데이터 추출부와, 상기 등화부로부터 출력된 DTV 신호에 상기 부가데이터 처리부의 출력을 결합하는 가산기와, 상기 가산된 출력을 변조하고, 송신 RF 대역으로 상승 변환한 후 송신 전력을 증폭하여 송신 안테나를 통해 송신하는 송신 처리부를 포함한다.
